Caterham is a town in the Tandridge district of Surrey, about eight miles north-east of our Horley base, set in a North Downs chalk valley. It is divided between Caterham-on-the-Hill and Caterham Valley, with steep topography, chalk downland and a mix of Victorian and post-war housing.
